I have no comment on Al Gore’s reception of the Nobel Peace Prize. But I will comment with a tiny bit of alma -mater-driven pride that this makes two years in a row that a Vanderbilt University person has won.
I’d like to say “Vanderbilt University alumnus” instead of “person”, but I can’t. Muhammad Yunus earned a Ph.D. in economics from Vandy in 1971. Gore took religious studies courses and a few law courses but never graduated.
