* Is there a reason that Talk Like a Pirate Day is always on September 19? Is it some obscure thing like Pi Day being on March 14?

Wikipedia says September 19 is the birthday of the ex-wife of one of the inventors.
My old chemistry teacher used to celebrate Mole day by wearing a Mole costume on October 23rd, and June 2nd. Singing songs about 6.02 x 10^23.
