Aviva Directory has this post with details about twelve US laws pertaining to blogging. Some of these — such as laws concerning the disclosure of paid blog posts — don’t concern the average long-tail blogger like me. But most of these are both relevant and interesting. I didn’t know, for example, that certain kinds of “deep linking” can constitute copyright infringement (although it makes sense that they should). It certainly seems only a matter of time before the blogging catches up to the print publishing industry in terms of litigiousness, so it couldn’t hurt to know the law.
